A perfect pit stop...

by Ronny Jones
(Kelvinbridge, Glasgow)

I first found Montgomery's Coffee House by chance.

I was in Kelvingrove Park pushing the pram and looking at the ducks on the pond. It was HOT, and the baby and I both needed a drink.

I was wondering where to go, when I noticed some tables and chairs out on the pavement.

Perfect! Although we sat inside, away from the sun for little Chloe - the light of my life...

She really enjoyed her milk, and the cuppa and scone went down a treat for me. And it got even beter... they have a loo with room to change the baby changing facilities, which came as a relief for both Chloe and me ;)

After that, Montgomery's took up a place in our weekend routine. Chloe runs along beside me now, and always knows how to get to her favourite pit stop - bless her!

From a loyal fan,

Ronny

Great lunch-in-a-rush...
by: Adrienne

The last time we visited Glasgow, a trip to see the restored gallery at Kelvingrove was on the agenda.

Loved it! And we were all in need of a snack before heading into the city centre for a spot of shopping.

Montgomery's came to our aid. We didn't want a full-on slap-up lunch. But we wanted something quite healthy - and quick.

Fantastic home made soup, a filled roll and STRONG cup of coffee had us happily on our way in less than 40 minutes.

Cheers, Montgomery's. We'll be back for sure.

Keeping the kids happy...
by: Carla

I hear what you're saying, Ronny.

We'd been for a wander round Glasgow Uni - the views from the front are lovely...

The kids were getting kranky, looking for something to eat. I'd heard about Montgomery's, but never tried it. Glad I did that day, I can tell you ;)

The wee ones had some soup and half a sandwich each, along with a glass of chilled OJ. That shut them up!

Staff were really friendly, and a pile of children and (slightly harrassed) adults piling noisily in was no problem at all.

I have to admit to rather liking the large glass of fortifying red wine I had with my delicious veggie sandwich.

I was amazed when the kids asked to go back, the next time we'd finished chasing a football round the park.

Thanks, Montgomery's. You're a life-saver. Almost! ;-)
