why should you go?...

Burrell Collection is in its own building in Pollock Country Park. Gifted to Glasgow by Sir William Burrell in 1944, his archive was opened to the public in 1983.

Showing off his life long collecting, visitors have free access to such diverse objects as medieval tapestry, paintings by Cezanne and Degas, Islamic art and pieces from ancient Egypt, China, Rome and Greece.

Take some time out from admiring the thousands of objects by sipping a coffee and nibbling a bun in the light, airy cafe.
