Its both a bar and a club. So you can stay for a late drink without having to SHOUT to be heard! God, I love that! There are actually 2 bars. I large one full of sofas, armchairs, gilt mirrors and soft lighting. And a smaller, more zen bar, in the corner. There's always something going on - plenty of energy and fun at The Polo Lounge. We get there early, grab a table up on the mezzanine level and have fun watching the place fill up. The mezzanine is above the bar and faces the door. Making it a prime people-watching spot. Those guys were so NICE, and there was no bother with leering old drunks trying to chat us up. Heaven! We just got on with dancing round our handbags and having a blast. In a small but vibrant gay scene, The Polo Lounge is my choice for a great night out. I love the 2 clubs in the basement. The larger one rocks to current sounds, which is fab. But I prefer the smaller dancefloor that goes for more retro sounds. It isn't my age or anything!
