Happy memories of a young Two Fat Ladies

by Moira Peterson
(Bearsden)

More years ago than I care to remember, I was dating a rather lovely doctor. Anyway, he specialised in obesity, and was a big foodie!

Lucky me, he used to suggest Two Fat Ladies on Dumbarton Road pretty often. Fish being a healthy choice, you see!

So I got totally spoiled on the very best Scottish fish and cuisine, courtesy of Simon and Two Fats... you see, this all started late in 1991, when there was only one Two Fat Ladies...

I'm still a huge fan and regular diner at Two Fats. Of course I have the choice of 3 other restaurants in the growing Two Fat Ladies group.

Happy times ;) I wonder where Simon is these days...

Cheers,

Moira x

Classy restaurant
by: Neal

I've been going to the original Two Fat Ladies since the early 1990s too.

Their other restaurants are just as good, with top menus and service. But there is something special about the cute original one.

This will always be one of our best restaurants to visit.

Keep it up, Two Fat Ladies!

Great dining space...
by: Sheila

HI there

I read somewhee that going to Two Fat Ladies on Dumbarton Road was like walking into someone's own dining room at home...

It is! Even the open plan kitchen feels like an apartment in a loft conversion or something... ALthough the quaint decor keeps the whole effect cosy and homely.

We had a fab meal. We both enjoy fish, and there were other options too. In fact, it was so good that we've been back several times, and drop in for a lunch deal on the weekend.

Great stuff from a true west end classic.

Many thanks

Sheila x
