 Hidden Lane Cafe is special. And Hidden up a lane! Think 'friendly beatnick' and you're there. Off Argyle Street, near the junction with Kelvingrove Street, this secret local gem is actually a hive of activity. Small and cute, with a couple of tables downstairs and more on the mezzanine (nearly in the rafters!), fair trade tea and coffee is served. Snacks include Greek, middle eastern and ploughmans platters, cheeseboard with oatcakes and sandwiches with oodles of lovely fillings on breads ranging from ciabatta to wraps. There is a hot dish of the day, various salads of the day as well as tarts and muffins to keep every tummy full. And that's not all. Sunday evenings see local start up bands strumming for guests. On Tuesday evenings, poetry readings take place. Hidden Lane Cafe is run by a lovely lady, with help from her daughter. She makes everyone more than welcome to her secret little cafe. Well done for finding her!
