I had a bright idea that I'd show the whole of the West End to friends who'd never been to Glasgow before. We'd take the underground to St George's Cross and head up Great Western Road, and see what grabbed our attention... You know what they say about the best laid plans o' mice and men! We were passing Liquid Ship, and the aromas coming from the open-plan kitchen had us up those steps in two shakes! I think my sandwich had bacon, black pudding and gruyere in it. Yumm! Then we found out there was going to be live music that evening... So we ended up wandering as far as the River Kelvin, and going back to get a good seat (and drink!) to enjoy the music. What a great night that was! Liquid Ship got 4 new fans that day. Cheers! They have a separate space for this, its free to take part, and there is even beer for the musicians! How cool is that? I really take to the relaxed vibe in Liquid Ship. There's something special about an open-plan kitchen. Being able to see your nosh being prepared helps to make me feel special! Quality stuff from unique Liquid Ship. Fresh home-made soup and an unusual sanny like char-grilled chicken, ham, dill pickle, mustard mayo & jarlsberg on a big brown bap... Quite a helping - who could ask for more? There's a cute sort of 'homsey' feel to Liquid Ship, and it clearly is really loved by locals. Keep up the good work, Liquid Ship.
