main activity is play

Glasgow's C C A, or 'Centre for Contemporary Arts' to use its posh name, is a vital and interesting place to visit. There's so much going on here.

The cafe occupies a unique space between two buildings, and serves up amazing food at prices that won't break the bank. In fact, the C C A Bar and Cafe has its own legions of local fans - who want to keep it their own little secret...;-)

From the cute little book shop (specialising in art!) at street level to the bar with al fresco tables at the foot of Glasgow School of Art, C C A bursts with a love of life - and art.

The exhibit spaces are always busy, and often show works by local artists as well as exhibits on tour. The intimate cinema takes part in larger city celebrations such as Glasgay, bringing independent films and documentaries from around the world to happy audiences.

Easy to miss on bustling Sauchiehall Street, C C A remains a local treasure bringing something a bit different to the city's cultural life.
