My good friend in America thinks the best greetings cards are to be found on HER side of the pond... ...but I know different. And I have an ally in my light-hearted 'competition' with her... Spirito! Without doubt, I can ALWAYS find a sweet, unique card to mail off. Cards for shoe lovers in particular are very cool, funny and so DIFFERENT from anything I've ever seen. Just one wee comment to make. Yes, they carry gorgeous gifts - perfect for weddings and engagements. But they are (partly) responsible for a nice little family joke. My Mum LOVES shoes. And why not? I while back, I visited Spirito and got her a birthday card featuring an elegant Imelda Marcos and some glittering shoes. Mum's name is Evelyn, or Ev. Although these days she might be (lovingly) referred to Imelda! lol I 'blame' Spirito, but every else seems to blame yours truly... (they love me really. Honest!) Spirito has raised the bar, in terms of quality and choice of top cards. Not just cards for shoe-lovers, either. Spirito looks after us when our uncle Herbert is turning 80, Aunty Lucy is 90, and a diamond wedding is approaching... Not to mention congrats for good exam results, an unexpected engagement, and moving to a lovely new home. I love Spirito. And its a bit of a local secret... I hope it stays that way...
