Always fans, my fiancee and I decided Balbir's would make the perfect place for our parents and siblings to meet. We invited our grandparents too, to kill more than one bird with the stone... so to speak ;-) Don't panic! Everyone got on well. And they all love a good curry, so we went for Balbir's banquet. It really is true - the food seems to just keep on coming! Everything was scoffed, which is a good sign. My Mum even had the cheek to ask for more of the saag aloo (chickpeas in a spicey sauce with a panckey-thing). In her defence, she had no idea how much food was still to come! We're married now, and remember the time our families met, in Blabir's, with big smiles on our faces! Enjoy. A while back, my big sister had started dating a veggie guy. He's quite nice, but let's just say he's 'difficult' when it comes to food. Gulp! When I first met him, we were in Balbir's. He could find nothing to complain about that night! In fact, we had a great time, and left absolutely stuffed. I know he's been back a few times since then. Balbir's must have earned a new fan that night... Nate Rating Best Vegetarian Curry from Balbir's by: Elspeth Hewitt Balbir's is a joy! From the outside it looks modern and minimal. But once inside, be prepared to be seduced by the sumptuously rich Eastern colours, the attentive service and amazing curry. Balbir's seems to put a lot into their varied veggie dishes, and locals really love them for it. They also specialise in a number of banquet options that are guaranteed to let you taste something new - and fill up even the hungriest tummy! Well done, Balbir's. You deserve your popularity.
