Keeping big sis happy

by James Wilson
(Glasgow Bearsden)

Hi, James here

Just to tell you guys about a nice time I had at The Bothy recently.

My big sis Sandra lives in Spain, where she teached English. Lucky her! She doesn't miss the winter weather here in 'sunny' Scotland. But she tells us that she DOES miss some of the food.

She means the kind Mum still makes us. So on her 1st night home on holiday, I took her to The Bothy. Mum & Dad came too, and we had a lovely evening.

To start with, she had a good gawp at the handsome waiter in his kilt ;-)

Then she was torn between the macaroni cheese, beer battered fish & chips, and sausage & mash!!! Perfect for Sandra. And we all had something delicious too.

Cheers, Bothy. We rather like your stuff.

James x

Popping along to Brigadoon
by: Jonsey

I love The Bothy 'cos it really feels like you're walking into someone's cottage.

But in a 'Brigadoon' kinda stylee!

I like going there best in winter, and getting stuck into a big steaming plate of macaroni cheese. Winter comfort food... perfect.

Our Family Favourite
by: Hilary

I've taken SO MANY people to The Bothy, for quite similar reasons.

The menu is so full of well known favourites and more modern dishes that I can relax, knowing everyone is going to be happy.

I even took my occasionally difficult aunt, and she had a lovely meal. Think 'lightweight Hyacinth Bucket' and you're more or less right! (I still love her dearly!)

My 15 year old niece spotted two lookers in their kilts, too. I was mortified when she had a go at chatting one up! He took it in good stead. ;-)

The Bothy is a definatle favourite for my whole family.

See ya.

Hilary x
