Loving That Murel!

by Charlie Bryce
(Charlottsville, Virginia)

Hi. I'm Charlie Bryce, and I'm from Charlottesville Virginia. Although my ancestors came from the Paisley area.

My wife Laura and I visited the West of Scotland recently, and we had a ball.

Sure, we brought out brollies and slickers - and we needed then from time to time!

While expecting a spot of rain, we hadn't expected such high quality cuisine. We like to sample what locals try. Our hotel staff directed us to 78 St Vincent for a superior menu mixing Scottish and French ingredients.

We had one of the best meals of our lives. Sounds like an exaggeration, I know. But it's true.

We're sold on haggis, black pudding and crispy bacon! The dining space is grand and unique, and Laura couldn't take her eyes off that murel! Flying Scotsmen indeed.

Thank you 78 St Vincent. You helped make our 1st vacation in Scotland one we won't forget in a hurry.

Charlie

We'll Be Back!
by: Charlie

We sure will be back, Derek.

Laura wants to know if service like that is usual all over Scotland? It really was 1st rate.

Thinking about our trip, I think service in Scotland was very good indeed.

Top Spot in Glasgow...
by: Fiona

I love the atmosphere in 78 St Vincent. It's calm and very sure of its own good taste...

... and we happen to agree. During the day there are plenty of business meetings going on over lunch. Later its more of a pre-theatre crowd, followed by romantic diners.

In such a striking dining room, I always have a memorable meal.

Did you know you can book the mezzanine level? If you have a special celebration, 78 St Vincent would make a top place to hold it.

Well done, 78 St Vincent. You're a quality spot on the Glasgow city scene.

Another 78 St Vincent Fan Here...
by: Derek

Saw what you wrote, Charlie. I'm a fan of 78 St Vincent as well. I actually took some American friends there a few years ago.

On a return visit they asked to go back! I obliged, of course.

In fact, they took me to the horse racing at Foxfield, outside Charlottesville, once. What a wonderful day that was!

Come back soon.

Ace Pre-Theatre
by: Kenneth

We love 78 St Vincent as much as you, Charlie. And we're local!

It's funny, but maybe because its on a busy junction on the edge of the main business district, but a lot of people don't really know about it.

We like to go for a pre-theatre meal, whether or not we're actually going to the theatre!

All the choices are on the a la carte menu as well, so you know you're going to get the usual excellent 78 St Vincent meal.

More often than not we're on our way to the cinema... or maybe going to Vroni's which is just round the corner. Whatever, we always have a fun time in our lovely city.

Come back soon...

Kenneth
