I'm not a big theatre goer myself, but my kids got me to The Arches. Really! One Christmas, an office outing was for parents and kids, to a very special sort of panto for toddlers - in The Arches. It was fantastic - all glittering lights, easy songs to sing, and a baddy who was really a bit of a good guy! (Nothing too scarey for the under 5s!) I'd be in big trouble if I didn't take them each year. Don't tell anyone, but I secretly look forward to it! Arches Theatre wins acclaim for the diverse nature of its projects. I went to Arches Theatre about 15 years ago, for the 1st time. I was taken to see an amateur play put on as part of the very 1st Glasgay festivals. Sure, the acting varied, but they put heart and soul into a very moving production. I admire that sort of dedication. It makes sitting in the audience almost feel like a cowardly thing to do! lol I also admire Arches Theatre dedication to carry on including marginal productions.
