Just to tell you that my wife and I think Crowne Plaza is the perfect place to stay if you're visiting Glasgow. Several things make is just right for us. It might be quite a big hotel, but the service feels more like a more family run place. And the rooms are a delight - a sort of modern chic. The views are worth getting your camera out for! Really. One side of the hotel looks towards the science centre, and the other looks to the city centre, past the curved 'bendy' bridge. We love going to concerts, and having Crowne Plaza next door to both the SECC and the Clyde Auditorium, its just perfect. Looking forward to visiting Crowne Plaza again before long! I was at the River Festival again this year, and Crowne Plaza had laid on a rather tasty BBQ. Offering something out of the ordinary, it was going like a fair, at a VERY busy festival. Well done, Crowne Plaza. Jill x Rating Dancing the night away by: Wills Crowne Plaza is also pretty good for functions and larger events. They REALLY know how to cater for larger groups. I remember being taken to a seriously cool Christmas event at Crowne Plaza. The meal was excellent, the wine was flowing freely... and I ended up on the dance floor, jigging about to the sounds of the REAL Showaddywaddy. Honest engine, this is the truth! They wore the same Teddy Boy suits and shoes, but they were mostly BALD! Crowne Plaza put on a wonderful night. And the rooms where we crashed were ship shape too. Fond memories indeed!
