Gotta tell you about The Brunswick! what a marvellous small hotel in Glasgow. A while back, about 100 of us flew from London to a wedding in Glasgow, and the fastest movers got rooms in The Brunswick. Its REALLY NIFTY, with small but designer-chic rooms. The hotel itself was close to the reception venue - Trades Hall on Glassford Street. The colours are cool and mild in the rooms, and STRONG in the halls. The overall effect works really well. I know that some of the group had such a super time that they're already booked to go back. We ate one night in the cafe-bar on the ground floor. It has an Itanian name, I think. Brutti Ma Buoni, it was. Another gold star was earned - right there. ;-) This time, a bit more sightseeing in Glasgow will be happening. The Brunswick will make an ideal central point to get the party started. See ya! Cheers, Adrian Rating Love staying at The Brunswick by: Adrian Miller Hello there I have my eagle-eyed PA to thank for booking me into The Brunswick on one of my many trips to Glasgow from Southampton. She knows I like my hotels to be small, and designer chic if possible. Ideally, I need a place that is close to where my meetings are. Suffice it to say, The Brunswick suits me perfectly. I won't stay anywhere else, when I'm in Glasgow. Excellent places like Cafe Gandolfi and Citation could hardly be closer... I dream of a budget that would let me hire out the penthouse! Nowhere is quite like The Brunswick. I've been to a couple of parties there - did you know there is a large room in the basement you can hire for private functions? It has its own bar, a sound syastem and catering can be provided. Each time I've been, there was a very tasty buffet. And all is a prime Merchant City spot. I agree with everything you've saud. I wonder if you know that you can hire the penthouse in The Brunswick for events, even if you're not planning to put your head down there? I've been to drinks do's for PR events on several occasions. There is something special about being in a penthouse, isn't there?
