why should you go?...

Many moons ago, in Designworks, I bought my first piece of authentic (but repro!) Charles Rennie Mackintosh designed furniture.

It still stands in pride of place in my lounge; a sleek black laquered ladderback chair from his Hillhouse period.

I've been going back ever since. I think its biggest secret of success is that the many lovely things that line its walls have been chosen with care by a master interior designer (the original and main part of this business).

The sense is that, if it isn't good enough to be used in one of their interior designs, it won't be in their shop either.

A special place in a special part of the West End, the mini-delight of Gibson Street.
