This page will self-destruct in 5 seconds... not!
Psst!... our VERY-close-second favourite place...
a quick something to wet your whistle before or after your classy Italian meal here is...
and we love it because a tasty Italian meal is the perfect partner for a glass of fizzy fun in a classy bar, and they don't come much classier than Vroni's.
[Coming out of Amarone, turn right and walk through Nelson Mandela Place, to West Nile Street and turn left. Vroni's is across the street on the right.]
... so do you want to know what's keeping those 'in-the-know' folks talking about Amarone?
It's... the striking buildings on view from the al fresco tables. Amarone is in the Atheneum Building, past home of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. And the church opposite is easy on the eye too.
Still, if people watching is more your thing, you're in the perfect place to see right down the busiest shopping Street (Buchanan Street) in Glasgow.
Enjoy!
Now... don't tell anyone else. And DO NOT reveal this Amarone top secret file and password.
We'll know.... And we'll track you down and point at you in the street and cry!
;-)

Sssh!... our VERY top place...
a quick something to wet your whistle before or after your classy Italian meal here is...
and we love it because if you've been sitting outside at Amarone, watching the hordes of shoppers pass by, you can carry on with al fresco drinking in Babbity's quiet beer garden.
[Head across George Square and along Cochrane Street until you reach John Street. Turn right, then left on Ingram Street. Keep going (nearly there), turning down Albion Street and left onto Blackfriars Street. Its only a 5 minute walk, don't worry!]
