Glasgow remains rightly proud of Arches Theatre. Hiding well out of the way, snug under the arches holding up the train lines in and out of Glasgow Central Station, its easy to miss.

Which would be a real shame, because it has such a lively, diverse programme of plays, shows, comedy, dance, kids ents and clubs. In fact, some of Arches Club nights are so good, they have become world famous.

Making full use of the unique spaces created by the arches, there is a surprising amount of performance space. And Arches Theatre makes very god use of them indeed.

Adding to their impressive performance credits, visitors are looked after in Arches Cafe Bar. Many locals are still unaware of this cool spot, serving food well above the average 'pub grub' label, and keeping the drinks flowing with a laid back style.

Arches often brings performing art that challenges and perplexes audiences. For this alone, we stand up and give Arches Theatre the ovations it deserves.
