Brooklyn Cafe
Top Secret File
Codename "newyorkcityboy"

You're in!
Psst!... our VERY-close-second favourite place...
to wander round a top attraction before or after a homely Italian pick-me-up meal here is...
and we love it because this is quite rightly the most visited attraction in Glasgow. And is the second most visited in the whole of Scotland, after Edinburgh castle.
And it is FREE.
Take a stroll round room after room of amazing treasures, then have a cup of tea in the cafe, and spend some time in the park.
If you have kids, this is the perfect chance to run them ragged and wear them out!
[From Brooklyn Cafe, drive (its best) to Titwood Road and turn left. At the end of the road, bear left again into Haggs Road, and follow signs for Burrell Collection.
In less than two minutes you'll be turning right into Pollockshaws Park, home of the collection.]
... so do you want to know what's keeping those 'in-the-know' folks talking about Brooklyn Cafe?
It's... is feeling you get that everyone in the place knows everyone else, when you walk in.
Such is the local, family-run feel of the place... and you'll be made to feel welcome, even if they don't know you - yet!
Enjoy!
Now... don't tell anyone else. And DO NOT reveal this Brooklyn Cafe top secret file and password.
We'll know.... And we'll track you down and make you smell my joke squirty flower!

Sssh!... our VERY top place...
to wander round a top attraction before or after a homely Italian pick-me-up meal here is...
and we love it because everything about this building inspires. The dimensions of the rooms, the furniture, the panels, windows, lighting and use of natural light all take the breath away.
Mackintosh never saw this dream in bricks and mortar, but you can treat your senses with a visit to this testament to the man's true genius.
[Head along to Titwood Road from Brooklyn Cafe and turn left. At the end of the road, bear right onto Dumbreck Road. Carry straight on, over the M77, keeping in the left lane after you're across.
After half a mile the road takes quite a sharp turn to the right. This is where you turn left, off the road and towards the car park for House for an Art Lover.
Don't forget your camera - it'll be well worth it.]
