Gamba
Top Secret File
Codename "fishface"
Quick, put out that light!
Psst!... our VERY-close-second favourite place...
to sip a tipple or two before or after savouring a fab seafood meal here is...
and we love it because its cool, laid back and sure of itself - just like Gamba. Unless you knew about it, you'd never find it, this golden oasis in a real concrete jungle that only the 1960s could produce!
Once there, though, relax and enjoy your tipple while cool theatre-types add vim and vigour to the evening.
[Walk over to Bath Street and turn left. Just after the King's Theatre you'll see a short set of concrete steps. Looks wrong, but its right. Up you go, and round the corner you'll be amazed to come across Baby Grand Charing Cross.]
... so do you want to know what's keeping those 'in-the-know' folks talking about Gamba?
It's... the range of fish dishes served up by Gamba. The menu always has specials, depending on what's caught each day.
So you can never be sure just what treats await each time you go. It creates a sense of adventure...will you go for an old fave, or try something you've never heard of before?
Enjoy!
Now... don't tell anyone else. And DO NOT reveal this Gamba top secret file and password.
We'll know.... And we'll track you down and make you wear funny hats in the street!
;-)

Sssh!... our VERY top place...
to sip a tipple or two before or after savouring a fab seafood meal here is...
and we love it because it has a truly fab range of bourbons, and is out of sight - much to the delight of locals in the know.
The well thought out music is pitch perfect, and the two-level beer garden is a little oasis of peace and friendly chatter, just yards from the M8.
[Walk to Bath Street and turn left. Cross over the M8 and turn right, and Chinaskis hides itself on the block just before you reach Sauchiehall Street.]
