and we love it because it is as much a treasure to Glasgow as the School of Art.
The main difference is that Baby Grand is a bit of a local secret... a golden oasis in a little concrete jungle, with a cheering atmosphere and filled with cool, relaxed punters.
[Get there by making your way carefully down the hill to Sauchiehall Street. Cross the road and go forward one block to Bath Street and turn right.
After the King's Theatre there is a short flight of concrete steps into a 1960s style building. Yes, this is the right way.
You'll find Baby Grand glowing just for you round the first corner on the right.]
... so do you want to know what's keeping those 'in-the-know' folks talking about Glasgow School of Art?
It's... that, unlike so many other listed and notable buildings carefully mothballed and roped off as a museum, this glorious place is a day-in-day-out working building.
Students crash and bang through the place intent on their latest creations and so don't expect some hushed space when you visit here.
Celebrate its artistic energy while rubbing shoulders with its students and staff. An art school built by a man who at his heart was a fellow artist is a treasure to behold.
So book that tour (given by enthusiastic students) or visit their rather special shop to taste the genius.

With almost nothing to tell anyone it exists, once inside you'll be amazed to find a fab bar serving great food and drink to the sounds of uber-cool music and (best of all) a west facing two-level beer garden.
And it really is just a stone's throw from the M8.
[From Glasgow School of Art, scurry down the hill (mind your ankles) to Sauchiehall Street and turn right. Cross the M8 and turn right straight away.
Chinaskis is right there, but you'll probably have to look carefully to find it. Well done! You're into one of the best kept secrets in town.]
