 Hunterian Art Gallery belongs to the great University of Glasgow. Sitting just off University Avenue, in a modern building beside the university library, there is always something new to see. And like other galleries in Glasgow, entry is FREE...;-) The gallery has a bright, airy space with plenty of natural light - just right for taking in the travelling exhibits that make Hunterian their home for a while. Expect to see exhibits from famous artists from around the world. These might easily take the form of sculpture, models, photographs, collections from a rich enthusiast or institute, to paintings and drawings. Their web-site keeps culture vultures up to date with what's coming next. A funky little shop by the entrance sells stuff related to the current show, along with items about Glasgow University and Mackintosh House, which is in the same building. Whatever your tastes, this exciting gallery will have something of interest to take in.
