for something to eat before or after this heady business of cheese buying here is...
and we love it because this light and airy Italian eatery produces classic dished very well.
For example the bruschetta al pomodoro comes laden with tomato, olive oil, cheese and garlic.
And the pizza al salmone arrives simply dripping in gorgeous salmon. A winner every time.
[Head west one block, on the same side of Great Western Road, to find Trattoria Trevi.]

It's... Mellis Cheese is unique in Glasgow.
You can freely taste any you want before buying, and different cheeses arrive on a regular basis: always worth a wee try!

and we love it because this little bar-restaurant serves up just the sort of gastro-pub grub to keep shoppers going.
The open plan kitchen lets diners see what's going on while their interesting sandwiches, beer-battered fish and chips, and bangers and mash are being prepared.
