and we love it because it hides from view in a bustling spot, but very few know about it. Which leaves us free to enjoy the cracking food, amazing bar, deep leather Chesterfield booths and funky west-facing beer garden... Superb!
[From Black Sparrow, turn right when you leave, and walk all the way down past the Mitchell Library to St Vincent Street. Turn left here, and head over the M8 and up the slope, looking out for King Tut's on the left after you cross Pitt Street. ]

and we love it because it truly has turned into a local legend - at least among those in the know. In a part of the city ruled by 1960s blocks, Baby Grand Charing Cross shines with a cosy golden glow.
And the food is great, whether you want a snack by the bar, or a meal beside the real baby grand paino, in the rear of this gem.
[Baby Grand Charing Cross is hidden from just about everything! When you leave, walk past the entrance to the railway station, and turn left along Elmbank Crescent. Turn right onto Elmbank Street, and left onto St Vincent Street. King Tut's is up the hill a little, on the left just after you cross Pitt Street.]
