for a slap-up meal before or after a cosy night under the duvet here is...
and we love it because it has been one of the leading lights in the regenerated Merchant City, bringing top notch Scottish cuisine to lucky diners since the 1980s. And it remains a local fave for very good reasons indeed.
[Head over to Glassford Street, and cross it. You'll find yourself on Wilson Street. when you reach Candleriggs after two short blocks, turn left, and you'll find the restaurant on this block, on the left.]

It's... how gorgeous the restored building's facade is. The tiny courtyard is home to a curved tower of stone, and the building itself is hidden from general view - although it is smack in the heart of the bustling city. What a fun place to stay...;-)

and we love it because it might be a newer kid on the Merchant City block, but it comes from very good stock. Retaining the quality food and service of its older sibling, Cafe Gandolfi, it serves up food with a fishy focus in a cool, modern dining room flooded by light. Wonderful!
[Head over to Glassford Street, and cross it. You'll find yourself on Wilson Street. when you reach Candleriggs after two short blocks. Cross Candleriggs and move onto Bell Street. Turn left after Merchant Hall, and you'll find the restaurant at the end of the 1st block, on the right.]
