The Bothy
Top Secret File
Codename "theresamoosloose"

Happy you made the grade!
Psst!... our VERY-close-second favourite place...
for a good old Scotch or three before or after scoffing all that Scottish comfort food here is...
and we love it because its a hidden local gem, and it has a range of Bourdons (American whiskey.. hooray!) you can shake a tipsy stick at!
Slanj!
[You can walk to Chinask's from The Bothy. It'll take about 30 minutes, though. So maybe a taxi would be better.
Walk down Byres Road to Dumbarton Road, and turn left. Walk all the way past Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, and take the left fork, where Sauchiehall Street begins.
Now just keep on walking. The views are pleasant... WHen you reach Charing Cross, turn right before crossing the motorway. Chinaski's is just there, on the right. Well done. You deserve a bourbon after all that exercise.]
... so do you want to know what's keeping those 'in-the-know' folks talking about The Bothy?
It's... the wait staffs' hairy, knobbly knees in those kilts! Well, that might be true of one or two of the males, but hardle the lovely females...
If they happen to be in kilts when you visit, you might even see what we mean.
Enjoy!
Now... don't tell anyone else. And DO NOT reveal this The Bothy top secret file and password.
We'll know.... And we'll track you down and point at you in the street and cry!
;-)

Sssh!... our VERY top place...
for a good old Scotch or three before or after scoffing all that Scottish comfort food here is...
and we love it because all you have to do is look behind the bar to see all those whiskys to try, helping to carry on the theme of your Scottish-themed time on the tiles.
[Easy to find, Oran Mor is at the Botanic Gardens end of Byres Road, in the restored church on the right as you walk that way from The Bothy.]
