 Waterstones bookshop on Sauchiehall Street takes me on all sorts of adventures. There is something special about the smell inside a book shop... all those adventures waiting to be taken! Big and airy and with a neat cafe in the basement, I can spend all day mooching around all those shelves. With a vast choice of fiction, this book shop helps by having a special section just for Scottish writers. So you can find the latest by Christopher Brookmyre, Ian Rankin or Alexander McCall Smith easily. Biographies and travel guides are also well stocked. If you want to sample before deciding what to go for, there are armchairs scattered around, letting you take a load off while you try some books out for size. I am a succour for their '3-for-2' deals. On the ground floor, there are literally hundreds to choose from. All lying face up on big tables, I can wander round them for hours. I usually drop by just for a look, and leave with six more to keep me out of trouble!
